Excellent sources of information pertaining to all areas of the Native American Culture.
Best known in the Northeast as Moonwater (Mnee-we in Lakota),
and is an exceptional craftswoman and traditional dancer.
Earth consciousness is of utmost concern.
She hand-creates her pieces Culturally/Historically correct,
With love and respect for the culture.

Moonwater's life and art combine the
womanly native virtues of fierce self reliance with sensitivity and grace, a balancing act
she deals with in her lifestyle, preserving her heritage through jewelry and hand-crafted
work.

She is a Member of the Southern Band of Cherokees/Hawk
Band &
attends Native functions all over the United States & Canada with her tipi/lodge,
keeping the sacred fires burning for futures to come.

Her Grandfather, Walter Broadfoot (Mother's side of family)
inspired her to preserve the heritage.


ACHIEVEMENTS
Taught at William Paterson
Univ. & various other schools in NY, NJ, PA
& CT, Spoke at several many churches. YES I am
a Christian
& I love Jesus Christ!
She attends many area and
non-area pow wows; dancing and displaying her
craft items.
Worked on graphic art
projects for various native artisans such as Dream
Catcher Studio for Glenna Hodgdon - a respected elder who taught her
the
first dance steps.
She also
took direction
from Charles Chipps, a very well know 5th
Generation Medicine Man of Crazy Horse & Sitting Bull.
She has developed great
relations with reservations around the country,
including the Mic Mac Tribal Council who honored her in a potlatch
(Gift-Giving) Ceremony.
Moonwater is a member of
the Southern Band of Cherokees &
was a writer of a column called Tipi Talk©
in the Cherokee Voice
Newsletter.

Medicine Wheel Classes & Primitive Encampment

Taught over 1000
Girl Scouts in a program I created for
Camp Mogisca in Glen Spey, New York.

over 100 pow-wows & Rendezvous
in/out of state.
Bamboo Brook Park Dedication,
Budd Lake & S. Mountain
Reservation, Maplewood, NJ., & Vasa Park Pow-wow.
She also donates/provides
clothing & toys to reservations &
food to animal shelters.
I have excellent references.
Teaching Purpose: Promote & Preserve Native Culture through
Educational Events.
I think it is important to teach our future generations respect
for our precious Earth!
